The Urban League launched the Entrepreneurship Center in 2011 to market to, service, and grow women and minority-owned businesses in Chattanooga. The Center is located at the Urban League’s facility in the M.L. King Business District and provides a range of business development services for DBEs. The goal of the Entrepreneurship Center is to increase the business skills and knowledge of women and minority-owned businesses so that they are in a position to take advantage of new business opportunities, develop and expand their operations, increase revenue, and increase livable wage job opportunities. The Entrepreneurship Center compliments other business development services available in Chattanooga and impacts more than 150 individuals annually through several services.
