Chattanooga Area African American Business Ecosystem Assessment Results
The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is leading an important effort to better support the growth of African American business owners through the newly established ULGC Center for Economic and African American Business Success. We are currently working in partnership with Pathway Lending, a Certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), in ways to expand access to capital for minority-owned businesses that are prepared to expand or scale up in the Chattanooga region. Through this partnership, we are conducting an assessment of the area business ecosystem to determine the current state of Black-owned businesses, the gaps in needed resources, and other emerging issues, post-COVID.
