Day Event brings special guests to celebrate 25th ANNIVERSARY
Tickets are now on sale for The Urban League of Greater
Chattanooga’s 25th Anniversary Equal Opportunity
Day (EOD) Celebration. The fundraising dinner will be
held Friday, December 14 at the Chattanooga Convention
and Trade Center. This year’s EOD will feature
Jennifer Holliday, who starred in the original Dreamgirls
Broadway musical, accompanied by the Chattanooga Symphony.

Chattanooga Join Infinite Scholars To Host Scholarship
Fair
College tuition is increasing each year and realizing
the cost of attending college can be a financial burden
to many families, the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga
collaborated with Infinite Scholars to host its first
annual scholarship fair on Wednesday, November 7 from
9 am until 3 pm at the Chattanooga Choo-Choo Imperial
Ballroom. Area high school seniors possessing a minimum
3.0 grade point average and earning a minimum score
of 17 on their ACT and 960 on their SAT are encouraged
to attend this event.

January 22, 2007 - Mayor Littlefield
Holds a Press Conference to Kick-Off The Urban League's
Volunteer Tax Program
On January 22, 2007, Mayor Ron Littlefield kicked-off
the Urban League's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
program, which helps low and moderate wage earners take
advantage of the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit and
file their taxes for free. The program will officially
begin on January 29 and will last through mid April.
